Information

Philuffy Aingram (フィルフィ・アインクラム Firufi Ainkuramu) is one of the female protagonists of Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut. She is the second daughter of the Aingram Financial Conglomerate, the younger sister of Relie Aingram (the Royal Officer Academy's principal) and the childhood friend of Lux Arcadia who is the user of the Divine Drag-Ride "Typhon" (テュポーン Tyupōn).

At the end of the series, she married Lux and became one of the five queens of the New Kingdom.

Appearance[]

Philuffy is a beautiful young woman with shoulder-length or upper-back length (when let down) pink hair that is tied into pigtails by two black ribbons with bangs swept to the left side while she has a single hair strand sticking up in the middle, golden eyes and she has a well-endowed chest that brings about a mysterious charm as it contradicts her childish face, just like Relie Aingram (Philuffy's older sister).

Personality[]

Philuffy is an easy-going girl, but she is not good at expressing her emotions. Despite this, she has an honest personality and she exudes out an absent-minded air around her most of the time, resulting in some people not taking her seriously at first. However, Philuffy possess a strong will and won't back down once she decides on something. Combined with her sharp senses and her "go-at-her-own-pace" personality, Philuffy is very difficult to argue with, something both Lux Arcadia and her older sister Relie Aingram have experienced firsthand. She also uses this to her advantage on several occasions, threatening to "hate" her sister if she ever were to do something she didn't like and also hustle several merchants out of their goods when she catches them cheating.

She spends much of her time eating and has a great fondness for sweets, which is shown when Lisesharte Atismata bribed her with bread seasoned with honey (to leave Lisha and Lux alone) and Relie easily incited her with a chance to eat a cake if she were to catch Lux.

Because they are childhood friends, Philuffy has a very close relationship with Lux and calls him "Lu-chan", and insists that the latter should call her "Phi-chan". She either gets into a bad mood or ignores Lux if he doesn't call her by her nickname.

Moreover, Philuffy doesn't show any form of shyness even if she and Lux share the same room and sometimes the same bed, and even if Lux gropes her breasts.

History[]

Background[]

Philuffy was the second daughter of the great mercantile House called the Aingram Financial Conglomerate with Relie Aingram as her older sister.

Seven years ago, the Aingram House was associated with the Old Empire. Philuffy's father introduced her and Relie to Lux Arcadia, a member of the imperial family and the son of a friend of Philuffy's mother [1]. She and Lux Arcadia didn't get along at first, since she rarely talked or showed emotion [2].

A week after this introduction, Abel Arcadia (Lux's older half-brother) and his friend Ragreed Forus damaged a valuable statue where they tried to frame Philuffy as the culprit by luring her to the statue and pushing her so she'd collide with it. However, this was foiled when Lux lied that he was the one who'd damaged the statue. Abel and Ragreed left, then Philuffy revealed to Lux that she realised that those two were responsible for damaging the statue (since they had oil from the statue on their hands) and Lux tried to cover for her. She told him that he shouldn't apologise when he didn't do anything wrong and then gives him a cookie as proof of them getting closer. She also calls him "Lu-chan" for the first time and has him call her "Phi-chan". This incident leads to them becoming friends.[2]

Philuffy was later chosen by Hayes Vi Arcadia as a subject for an experiment to combine human and Abyss. She was taken to a facility on Ries Island and Ratatoskr, a seed of the Ragnarok Yggdrasil, was implanted in her. She entered a state of apparent death. Lux arrived and was shocked on seeing her unmoving body, though Fugil Arcadia erased his memories of Philuffy being here. Sacred Eclipse then injected Elixir into Philuffy, causing her to revive a few days later.[3] However, because the Ratatoskr was left inside her, Philuffy became part-Abyss. As Abyss are considered targets to be killed by the laws of the New Kingdom, Relie covered this up and had her trained in martial arts by Magialca Zen Vanfrick so she could control her strength.[4]

Fallen Prince Arc[]

Philuffy's first appearance is in the class where Lux is introduced as a new student. She greets him and they sit next to each other. She insists that he call her by her nickname and doesn't share her textbook with him until he does so.[5]

At lunchtime, when Lisesharte Atismata asks Lux to be her personal caretaker, Philuffy tells her to stop as she's troubling Lux.[5]

That evening, Philuffy takes part in a party to welcome Lux to the academy. After the party is over, she finds Lux sleeping in the corridor. She takes him to her room, puts him in her bed and sleeps next to him.[5]

The next day, Lux is flustered at the situation. Philuffy explains what she did the previous night. Lux says that she hasn't changed since their childhood, and Philuffy replies that he hasn't changed either. Suddenly, Tillfur Lilmit knocks on the door, telling Philuffy that she will be late. Philuffy tells Tillfur to come in, against Lux's objections, and she sees her and Lux together. She leaves the room while apologising for the intrusion. Lux runs after her, leading to him, Philuffy and Tillfur being late while getting along well.[5]

Lux ends up being assigned to Philuffy's room until an empty room can be found for him (as a plot by Relie to make him and Philuffy grow closer). In the afternoon, Philuffy is present at a meeting of the Knight Squadron where the issue of Lux joining is discussed. Philuffy doesn't join the discussion herself, simply eating snacks in the corner. Lux is surprised at Philuffy being a member of the Knight Squadron, but Krulcifer confirms her strength. Lux proves his strength in a mock battle, but since he focused on defence he still isn't allowed to join. Afterwards, Philuffy feeds him an orange.[6]

However, the city of Cross Field comes under attack by a giant Abyss. Lisha leads most of the Knight Squadron in a mission to defeat the Abyss, though Philuffy stays behind to defend the city. She goes to the basement of the Drag-Ride hangar and sits on a chair. Lux finds her here and she tells him that she can hear the sound of a flute, but Lux can't hear it. A vibration shakes the hangar and, with Philuffy's encouragement, Lux leaves to investigate it.[7]

The incident (which turns out to be an attempted rebellion by remnants of the Old Empire) is resolved, though Lux is exhausted in the process. Philuffy visits him in the infirmary and, after confirming that he doesn't have a fever, welcomes him back. Later, she is present in the principal's office (along with other students) to welcome Lux as an official student of the academy.[8]

Knowing an abyssess are around the Ruins, Lux also after Philuffy and kill the abysses. After that, Lux finds Philuffy but Philuffy suddenly strangles Lux. Abilities[]

Despite how she appears, Phluffy is a highly skilled Drag-Knight and fighter.

Ratatoskr: As part of the Old Empire experiments, Philuffy became a Abyss-human hybrid, giving her enhanced strength and heightened senses. However, it also made her vulnerable to the Abyss-controlling ability of horn flutes, though she underwent training to resist this. After going through Baptism, Philuffy was able to safety remove the Ratatoskr from her body, removing this weakness..

  • Olfactory Sense: Due to this, Philuffy as an excellent sense of smell, strong enough to differentiate between different metal alloys.
  • B-Blood Wyvern: Philuffy is capable of not just using the seed on herself to gain additional power, but also her drag ride, multiplying her power several fold in both forms, strong enough to face drag rides bare handed. The transformation can be canceled by someone using the horn flute to command de-transformation.

Expert Martial Artist: Having received training from Magialca Zen Vanfrick, the captain of the Seven Dragon Paladins, Philuffy is a very proficient martial artist. Thanks to her enhanced strength, Philuffy's movements are incredibly powerful.

Baptism: Philuffy has gone through Baptism twice, she was once ressurected by sacred eclipse and given increased physical abilities. She was also baptized under the order of Queen Raffi Atismata, allowing her to fully control her bodily functions, up to the point of being able to turn off ones senses and being able to use End Action. This power allowed her to safety remove the Ratatoskr from inside her body.

Manipulation: Despite her meek (quiet, gentle, and easily imposed on; submissive) appearance, Philuffy is more than capable of manipulating others for her own gains, such as repeatedly guilt-tripping Lux or pressuring caught scammers into giving her free stuff.

Typhon[]

Philuffy uses the Wyrm type Divine Drag-Ride Typhon.

Passcode: "─Activate. The starbreaker, the ultimate piercer, the giant god-slaying dragon. Unleash the hundred-headed fangs and slay the almighty, Typhoon."

Pile Anchor: Typhon shoots several cables, each of which is tipped with an anchor that can hook onto targets.

Biting Flare: the Hooks on Pile Anchor are capable of opening up prior to impact and produce a burst of explosive energy.

Missing Faith: Typhon's Divine Raiment, which creates a black surge that dispels other Divine Raiments and lowers the output of other Drag-Rides.
